LSNED Update

Well I had fun getting ready for this project. I got my book all together. I learned it takes me a few days to formulate my thoughts! Now to keep it simple! That is a tough one. I did learn something. September did get busy, but there is a new month starting and another chance for fresh starts! I think I'll work on getting my thoughts and photos in the book this month. They maybe more than a sentence. But that's okay. I also love Shimelle's Camera School blog. This is perfect for me to get to know my new digital SLR!!!! I'm still excited for a fantastic fall full of fun.

September's BOM

Sherri McConnell is the first BOM designer from the blog: A Quilting Life. Click on the link below to get directions for this month's block.

A Quilting Life: Blogger's Block of the Month

I've also included pictures of the fabric they were asked to use for their design and this month's finished block. The fabric is from a Kaffe Fassett's collection.
Enjoy!

New block of the month quilt starts!

If I'm not busy enough, I thought I would attempt another project. This one is one quilt block per month. That doesn't sound to hard!?!?! We will see. I saw this on Quilt Dad's blog the other day. Canton Village Quilts is organizing it. The link is below.

Canton Village Quilt Works: Blogger's BOM Quilt Along
I'll post an update for the page with September's block shortly. Then the 25th of each month the next block will be revealed. The last month (October 2012) the setting layout will be revealed.
This might be the perfect quilt to use some of my fat quarters  on.
More later.

September 1st 2011 LSNED

Well, I've picked a photo album and decorated it. Now to come up with a thought using the writing prompt Shimelle sent... Keep it simple, keeps going through my mind...

Well one thing is for sure, this will get me blogging and scrapbooking!

Last day of August

Well, I've introduced myself on the forum for the class I signed up for. Now I just need to decide which direction to go in for the actual album - traditional, digital or art journal! Maybe a little bit of all of them!!! I was hoping this would jump start my scrapbooking, but now I feel like there are too many decisions!!! Well, either way, I'm ready to start this new adventure in September!!!!

Maybe if I sew for a little while, I'll come up with an idea or two for the LSNED class ;)

a photographic/scrapbooking diversion

I found this on one of the blogs I follow and thought this would help jump start my scrapbooking.

4x6 photo love

I also wanted to take a class to improve my photoshop skills, so I thought this mini class would be perfect. I really like the photo journals, so this class should help with that!
